Artist's Statement

In all of our lives there's good and bad. Trials and celebrations. That's the universal reality of humankind. Rather than editorialize some of those realities in my art, I prefer to create a diversion of images that embrace a sense of beauty. A beauty that's reaching out to pull us in, out of our realty for just a time. An escape we can fall into.

With the images I create I hope to represent a sense of optimism through lines, shapes and shadows rendered into visions of simplicity and elegance.The female figures represent confidence and strength entwined by lyrical abstract forms to portray an, all too often elusive, state of grace.
